Parts & Memory, developed by Dr. Jay Noricks, is a subconscious healing technique that frees your mind from distress caused by stored emotion.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
This is the exploration of your thought patterns and behaviors, with the goal of bringing awareness to ones that you feel compelled to change. Carmynn incorporates her understanding of healing into this approach by encouraging her clients focus on one thing at a time, or on actionable goals. No shame in the healing game. You will start over many many times before you master an altered behavior or thought pattern.
Narrative Therapy
Narrative therapy is partly how your therapist conceptualizes your case, and how the healing itself plays out. Much distress , especially in trauma situations, is caused by a warped perspective. This stems from the amygdala focusing on negative emotions, and the fight or flight that occurs. Narrative therapy is a long-term process that leads to one reaching acceptance and inner peace.
Mindfulness and Grounding
Sessions include reminders to be present in your environment. This is one reason why having a private space at home is best for telehealth therapy. If you must do it in a car, make it a parked one.
Meditation and Breathwork
Carmynn Bradley is also a certified yoga teacher, and has been trained in embodiment practices. Most used in telehealth sessions are meditation and breath work techniques, which are great for de-escalation of triggers, and for dissociative symptoms.
